To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • A proven track record of consultative sales skills in any industry
  • Graduated from an accredited Hearing Instrument Practitioner program
  • Proof of completed AHIP professional designation
  • Demonstrate exceptional post-sale client service
  • After-graduation clinical experience, preferred

What does the day look like?

Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments.

  • Complete all fundamental hearing assessments
  • Relate the findings from the hearing assessment in layman’s terms to the client and the impact of these findings on the client’s wellbeing and lifestyle

Make hearing aid recommendations.

  • Conclusively determine the best possible solution for the client
  • Present the best solution to the client and relate the functions and benefits to the client’s lifestyle without bias or pre-judging the client’s economic situation
  • Use consultative selling skills to help build trust and understanding of their problem and the benefits of solving it

Provide exceptional follow-up services.

  • Consistently provide caring follow-up services until the client is completely satisfied with their hearing situation
  • Ensure the client feels welcome to return as many times as the client chooses

Compensation:

  • Salary, commission and team bonuses. Starting salary is commensurate with experience: Hearing Instrument Dispenser $43,000 – $50,000 and Hearing Instrument Specialist $55,000 to $80,000. Commission, paid quarterly, can range from 5% – 50% or more of base salary depending on performance.
